Strategic Partnership

The Multimessenger school is carried by a number of institutions whose complementary strengths provide a world-class environment for research and training of graduate students.

DESY and the Weizmann Institute of Science have been pioneering multimessenger astronomy, making important contributions to the field on topics ranging from neutrino to gravitational wave astrophysics. The Humboldt University in Berlin is noted for its activity in particle physics and the University of Potsdam is a hub for astrophysics.

This international partnership receives significant funding through the Initiative and Networking Fund of the Helmholtz Association.
